Alternative Christmas Trees: green ideas for decorating for Christmas
I figure those of you who like this blog are probably a little bit non-conformist when it comes to Christmas. If you like non-traditional, off-beat cards then maybe you will also appreciate a posting about non-traditional, off-beat Christmas trees. There are many alternatives to the traditional Christmas Tree out there. Some you can buy, but many people make them. The beauty of a tree like this is that you don’t have to cut down a tree, or spend lots of money on it. And another bonus: no needles to vacuum up. Here are a few I found:
Above is a tree available to buy, and below a bookcase Christmas Tree.

At top left , a tree made out of wrapped up presents and top right is a tree made out of the lights in windows
and to the bottom left a wine glass Christmas tree and and to the right a book Christmas tree.

This Christmas tree looks like it is made out of scrap.
One alternative to a normal Christmas tree is building a tree out of beer bottles.
And here is another huge tree made out of used bottles.

A great idea is to make your Christmas tree in your bookcase out of your books.

Or you can make your Christmas Tree out of fruit.
This tree was in Lisbon Portugal, out of just lights.
And this tree is digital, a Pac man game?
You can purchase this cardboard tree. I wonder if they use recycled paper.
These alternative Christmas Trees are made out of odds and ends…or junk?
And this Christmas Tree is made out of stacked fabric.
This non-traditional Christmas tree is made out of cakes.
This alternative Christmas Tree is made on the wall.
And here is another tree made on a wall
This non-traditional Christmas Tree was made for a designer showcase.
And this alternative Christmas Tree was made by Gucci out of presents
This alternative Christmas Tree was made by a Valentino
This non-traditional tree was made out of pink bottles

This alternative Christmas Tree was made by a Gaultier I think.
This Christmas tree is available to purchase.
This tree was made out of silver glass balls.
And finally here’s an idea, try putting the ornaments on your hair instead of in a tree.
